Party, friends & clans

Network-wide community features: parties and friend lists (module party), clans with tag, ranks, bank and clan home (module clans), and the safe trade /trade (part of core).

Note

License: party and clans need an EternalSystem license; /trade is part of core and therefore of the free base (like punishments, reports, lobby). Which modules are free can change – the dashboard shows locked modules grayed out.

Party & friends (module party)

  • Module key: party, no dependencies. Enable it on every Spigot server where /party and /friend should work. See Modules & Presets.
  • Invitations and notifications are forwarded via the proxy to the recipient's server; so the Eternal jar must also be on the proxy.
  • Data is stored in the shared database – all servers need the same MySQL database.

Party head (lobby only)

On servers with the lobby module, every player gets a party head in the hotbar:

  • Right-click (in the air or on a block) opens the party menu.
  • Hit or right-click another player with the head: if they are already your friend, they are invited to the party; otherwise they receive a friend request.

On game servers without lobby, a leftover head is removed – only the commands work there.

The menu also has per-player settings: Freundschaftsanfragen erlauben ("Allow friend requests") and Party-Einladungen erlauben ("Allow party invitations"). eternal.party.bypass-invite-settings (default level Team) invites to the party anyway – for friend requests, the setting always applies.

config.yml

party:
  enabled: true
head-slot: 9 # hotbar slot (1-9) of the party head – lobby only
  give-head-on-join: true

  max-members: 8
  invite-expiry-seconds: 120
  default-allow-friend-requests: true
  default-allow-party-invites: true

All texts are under party-*, friend-* and gui-* in translations/<sprache>.yml (<sprache> = language).

Tip

eternal.party.use is preset with default: true in plugin.yml. If you only want parties for certain ranks, deny the permission in the default group (negative entry).

Clans (module clans)

Network-wide clans with a colored tag, ranks (leader, officer, member), invitations, a shared bank, clan home and clan chat. Data: eternal_clans, eternal_clan_members, eternal_clan_invites.

  • Module key: clans, no dependencies. Only included in the full preset – enable it additionally for survival.
  • Founding costs and the clan bank need the economy module (otherwise „Coins-Modul ist aus“, "Coins module is off").

Safe trade (/trade)

Part of core, no separate module unlock needed. Coins in a trade require the economy module.

  1. /trade <Spieler> sends a request (valid for 60 seconds). Aliases: /tausch, /handel.
  2. /trade accept (or /trade deny) – a window opens for both: on the left your own offer (put items in, shift-click works), on the right your partner's (view only), in the middle Bestätigen ("Confirm"), the coins offer and the status.
  3. Setting coins: left-click +100, shift-left-click +1000, right-click −100, shift-right-click to 0.
  4. The trade only happens once both have confirmed. Every change cancels both confirmations.
  • Before the trade, the plugin checks whether there is enough inventory space and enough coins – otherwise nothing happens.
  • Closing the window or logging out cancels; everything is returned.
  • Locked items cannot be put in; MagicItems may be traded.
  • Every item with an ID gets a TRADE event (giver → recipient) in the item history; coins are booked as a normal transfer. See Inventory sync & item tracking.
  • Permission: eternal.trade (default level All). Players who have „Private Nachrichten“ ("Private messages") off in /settings do not receive trade requests.

Common pitfalls

  • Party head is missing: it only appears on servers with the lobby module.
  • Invitation does not arrive: the recipient has turned off party invitations or friend requests in their settings, or the Eternal jar is missing on the proxy.
  • Clan home does not teleport: the target server must also have clans active so it performs the teleport after the join.
  • Trade request is not delivered: the partner has „Private Nachrichten“ off in /settings.
